At OSOTA, we love to feature scholars, parents, and families who are using their god-given talents in full color. Allow us to introduce alumnus Michael A. Romaniello, a gifted artist whose groundbreaking work will leave you speechless. Michael is a holding a special art camp this July for scholars in grades 5th - 12th, and it's sure to be an amazing experience.

We give a lot of attention to our scholars who blow us away every day with their talents, gifts, and innovative ideas. And rightly so! But it’s not every day we can celebrate our talented, gifted, and innovative parents. So today is that day! Laresa Tapia, Mark and Carolyn Izzo have really raised the bar on what it means to be creative thinkers and doers.
Rising To Success Leadership Retreat
This summer, we are inviting our rising 6th and 9th grade scholars to attend a truly amazing experience at Camp Sparta. This camping experience will give scholars the chance to build relationships—before the start of the school year, to eliminate pressures, and provide character building activities, team exercises, indoor/outdoor activities, as well as times for devotions and worship. The opportunity to connect with teachers, pastors, coaches, and staff will strengthen our scholars’ confidence as they set out to discover their true identity this coming year.

Calling All Chromebooks: Year End Tips and Procedures
OSOTA Vice Principal, Mr. Seidel, provides tips and procedures about what needs to happen this summer to prepare all scholar Chromebooks for the fall. He also provides the latest technology news to help families make an informed purchase decision for next school year.
House Games & Dance Social
This June, we will discover the rich heritage of a scholar, and test the true strength of our character. An epic three day event. HOUSE GAMES at One School of the Arts. Following the three days of competition, houses are invited to attend the private Character Crowning Ceremony. This “Enchanted Evening” will be marked with awards and a celebratory dance social, hosted by Character House Peer Leaders. Here, the Character Council will announce which house emerged as the elite winner of the first annual house games.
SAT Questing Commences
Next week we are excited to embark on a special quest here at One School. Our specialized search will involve scholars navigating the SAT 10 standardized test. It begins Monday, May 2nd for Elementary scholars, and concludes Friday, May 6th. The 7th-High School scholars will participate in their quest Tuesday-Thursday, May 3rd-5th.
First Annual Chalk Walk
Drawing on a sidewalk with chalk is a favorite childhood pastime for so many. Our Chalk Walk participants took things to a whole different level at our first annual Chalk Walk!
OSOTA Takes DC
"What an incredible, well put together field trip with such amazing chaperones and 8th grade scholars! Traveling many miles by metro and logging in over 40-walked miles together was so much fun together! So many wondrous sites seen: the White House (spectacular by day and by night), the Washington Monument, both the Lincoln & Jefferson Memorials, and the honorable war memorials....
Field Day Fun!
Our amazing scholars and their families helped us kick-off Spring Break with lots of fun at our annual Field Day event. The competition was fierce and kicked off with a special pep rally hosted by "Coach" Moore and "Coach Marin." Even our mascot, Judah the Lion was seen on the field competing. Thank you to all of our amazing parents for your smiles and support. It was a perfect day!
