Lego Robotics
| Jay Moore - jmoore@oneschool.net
FIRST LEGO League gives elementary, middle and high school scholars and their coaches the opportunity to work and create together to solve a common problem. Challenged to research a real-world problem, then create an original solution for that problem, plus design and build a robot using a LEGO® MINDSTORMS® kit within a common set of rules to accomplish “missions” on a playing field, brings out the best in scholars and adults alike. The theme changes each semester, requiring teams to be extraordinarily creative.
LEGO Robotics is more than playing and building with Legos. Lego Robotics is about Legos + Robots. The club is designed to be a body of teaching and learning practice, based on LEGO Robotics kits, popular sets of materials that enable scholars without formal training in engineering and computer programming to design, build, and program small-scale, robots.
