Fair Play the Science Way!

2020 Science Fair - 5.jpeg

Our 5th Annual Science Fair at OSOTA was electric, with 6th, 7th, and 9th graders as the stars of this amazing event. Our scholars leveled up in so many ways from the wide selection of topics, creative boards displayed, and strong communication skills expressed. Their experiments took us from moldy foods to beautiful crystals, all while realizing how much bacteria can actually be found in our toothbrushes. YIKES! We also learned how to create our own source of energy from saltwater, found out which battery is more effective, and determined why we can’t stop at eating just one potato chip!  When curiosity pairs up with creativity, knowledge is experienced up close and personal. Science Fair is not just an academic event at OSOTA that showcases answers to scientific questions; it’s an opportunity where scholars become teachers and discover that there are no limits on learning.

Congratulations to our 2020 Science Fair Winners, and good luck to those advancing on at the LCS Festival, next!
