  • Quiet study-time

  • An exceptional staff that desires to pour into your children.

What scholars will be doing?

  • We make quiet, supported, and monitored homework a priority during our afternoon program!

  • Outdoor activity time! (See Playground Time Slots)

  • Board / Card games / Puzzles can be played as long as there is no gambling.

Billing / Signing In & Out

We use a web-based software called Pikmykid to track our rosters for extended care. Billing will occur monthly through your FACTS account. Please make sure you check your child in and out with an extended care worker so we know your child was safely picked up. As we learn names and faces, please have a photo ID with you at pick up to confirm identity.

  • In the morning, parents will walk their children up the side stairs of the Sprout Buildings and into Room 503 to sign in scholar(s).

  • In the afternoon, our Extended Care staff will use Pikmykid to sign all of their kids into the app. Pickup will either be on the playground or in the designated Sprouts room.

Parent Check Out

Parents or authorized pick-up persons are required to sign out scholars daily. You may be asked for identification at any time when picking up your scholar. If someone not on your authorized pick up list needs to pick up your child, please notify the front desk DURING the school day as soon as possible so our front desk can relay that information onto our staff.

Payment

Extended care is billed on a monthly basis. Morning Care is $6 a day, and Afternoon Care is $12. Extended Care Program closes promptly at 6:00 PM. There is no grace period after 6:00 p.m. Please note an additional fee will be charged for any late pick up regardless of the reason. Fee assessment begins at 6:01 p.m. at a rate of $15.00 each quarter hour interval. Repeated late pickups will result in your scholar being withdrawn from the program with no further obligation from One School.

After School Clubs, Sports, Tutoring:

If your child is not picked up directly following an activity at school, and they are brought to extended care, your family will be charged for the afternoon once they are checked into our extended care program. Scholars are not permitted to hang around on the campus unsupervised waiting for pick-up.

Snacks

In accordance with our Scholar Wellness policy, a nourishing snack and drink low in sugar content should be sent with each scholar attending the afternoon session of extended care.  Clearly designate both items “Extended Care”.

Rules

In our extended care program, we follow the same rules that apply to scholars when school is in session without exception. Repeated behavior violations will result in administrative conference with the family to discuss the need for removal from the program. Specific Extended Care Rules are as follows:

  • Rule 1: Ask Permission (When you want to use supplies, use the restroom, or leave the area)

  • Rule 2: Call and Response (Listen for your name and respond quickly on the playground)

  • Rule 3: Work Comes First (You must be caught up on homework to earn playground time)

Emergency Contact

In the event of an emergency after our normal school office hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), simply call or text (407) 900-8814 and follow the directions to speak to our extended care staff. This should be used if you are running late, have unexpected travel arrangements, or a family emergency.
