  • Varsity Boys Basketball (9th-12th)

    Our Varsity sports teams proudly compete in the Sunshine Christian League (SCL), which brings together 24 schools from across Florida and Georgia. This league is rooted in Christian principles and encourages strong character and sportsmanship in every athlete. In our basketball program, coaches work closely with players to develop their skills and refine their techniques, ensuring they’re prepared and confident when it's time to play. With a strong commitment to excellence, our coaches strive to bring out the very best in each of our scholar-athletes.

  • Girls Varsity Volleyball (6th-12th Grade)

    Our Varsity level sports are a part of the Sunshine Christian League (SCL). The SCL emphasizes Christian values and sportsmanship for young athletes. The league consists of 24 schools across Florida and Georgia. In our volleyball program our coaches teach skills and technique to help the girls be ready for when they step into a game. Our coaches are dedicated to seeing excellence shine in our scholar athletes.

  • Varsity Girls Basketball (6th-12th Grade)

  • Varsity Boys Flag Football (6th-12th Grade)

    Our Varsity level sports teams compete in the Sunshine Christian League (SCL), a league made up of 24 schools throughout Florida and Georgia. The SCL is committed to promoting Christian values and sportsmanship among young athletes. In our flag football program, coaches focus on building strong fundamentals and techniques to prepare players for game-day performance. Our coaching staff is passionate about helping our scholar-athletes pursue excellence both on and off the field.

  • Soccer (2nd-5th Grade)

    Soccer is a fast-paced team sport played worldwide, emphasizing skill, strategy, and endurance. Players work together to score goals by advancing a ball into the opposing team’s net using any part of the body except the hands and arms.

  • JV Boys Basketball 6th-9th Grade)

    Our JV team plays schools from the SCL in season and participates in an end of season tournament each year. In our basketball program, coaches work closely with players to develop their skills and refine their techniques, ensuring they’re prepared and confident when it's time to play. With a strong commitment to excellence, our coaches strive to bring out the very best in each of our scholar-athletes.tion goes here

Our Team

Coach J.R. Brown

Coach J.R. has been with One School for 8 years and has been a cornerstone for the athletics program since the beginning of the program. As Athletic Director, he is dedicated to not only growing the program, but also seeing physical, mental, and spiritual growth from our scholar athletes on and off the court/field. Coach J.R. attended UCF and has a bachelor's degree in Sport and Exercise Science.

Coaching Experience: 5 years high school level basketball, 9 years elementary level basketball, League Director for Upward Basketball for 4 years.

Coach Joey Elliott

Coach Elliott earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Central Florida and has been dedicated to building healthy, active lifestyles at his school for the past five years. He believes fitness should be both fun and purposeful, inspiring scholars to move with energy, enthusiasm, and confidence. With an emphasis on safety and proper form, Coach Elliott helps scholars develop lifelong habits of wellness. He has coached co-ed volleyball, girls’ volleyball, and boys’ basketball, encouraging teamwork, perseverance, and growth on and off the court. A God-loving man with a passion for making a positive impact, Coach Elliott is committed to changing the world—one scholar at a time.

Coach Harold Lewis

Coach Harold is new to One School this year. He has a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology. He has a passion for running and pushing scholars to be their very best. Coaching Experience: 4 years high school level basketball.


Coach Jared Clark

Coach Clark is passionate about challenging scholar-athletes to maximize both their athletic ability and their mental fortitude. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, resilience, and teamwork — values that shape strong competitors and even stronger people. Each year, he is proud to see our athletic department continue to grow and excel.

Education: B.S., Exercise Science with a Minor in Community Health — University of North Carolina Wilmington (2010), M.A., Theological Studies — Nashville Bible College (2012)

Athletic Career: High School: Two-time Nike All-American in Track & Field.

College (UNCW): Earned three CAA Championship rings and competed at the IC4A/ECAC regional level in multiple events. Known as one of UNCW’s most versatile sprinters and relay runners. Still holds school records and multiple facility records.

Coaching Experience: 5 years coaching flag football with Under the Lights (sponsored by Under Armour) Currently in 3rd year coaching flag football at One School

Coach Nehemias Gonzalez

Coach Nehemias has been a parent of a One School scholar since 2014 and a member of One Church since 2018. Seeing the need for developmental growth for the scholar athletes at One School, he partnered with Athletic Director / Coach J.R. and the One School Athletic Department as a Developmental Coach for the Varsity Boys Basketball, JV Boys Basketball, Varsity Girls Basketball and Varsity Boys Flag Football. He brings on a different perspective on equipping scholars to achieve their goals through critical thinking and hard work.

Athletic Career: Florida Flight Minor League Basketball – FBA.

Coaching Experience: ACYS Spirit United, Under the Lights Flag Football and Upward Basketball.
